Dear Panther Nation, Families, Staff, and Community Stakeholders,

It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as Interim Superintendent of Sumter County Schools during such a pivotal time in our district’s journey. I am grateful for the trust you have placed in me, and I remain committed to leading with transparency, purpose, and an unwavering focus on student success.

As we continue moving forward, our district is intentionally engaged in the ongoing work of growth and development. School improvement is not a one-time event—it is a continuous process that requires collaboration, reflection, and action. Each day, we are working to strengthen our systems, enhance instruction, and ensure that every decision we make is aligned to improving outcomes for our students.

At the heart of this work is our commitment to educating the whole child. We recognize that academic success is only one part of a student’s development. Our scholars must also be supported socially, emotionally, and physically in order to truly thrive. Through intentional practices, expanded learning opportunities, and strong partnerships with families and the community, we are building environments where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
