Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)
What is Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)?
MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports):
MTSS is a framework used in schools to provide targeted support to all students based on their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. It’s a tiered system:
● Tier 1: Universal support for all students (core instruction and universal behavioral expectations).
● Tier 2: Targeted support for students who need additional help (small groups or short-term interventions).
● Tier 3: Intensive, individualized support for students with significant needs.
MTSS uses data-driven decision-making to identify students’ needs, monitor progress, and adjust interventions.
